Governance Procedure

Replete Improvement Proposal (RIPs)

Any Replete holder can put forward proposals for the Replete DAO to vote on. For a proposal, a user must have a yet to be defined amount of tokens to initiate a vote. For a vote to pass it needs to meet the minimum quorum (more information to follow), gather a higher percentage than 50% of the votes in favor and be active for the Replete DAO to vote on for at least seven days.

Governance Procedure

The only step that is realistically required for a vote to pass and warrant action is initiating a proposal to vote on. However, in an effort to streamline the process, and before the launch of the governance, ideally the governance process would be as follow:

  1. Discord: Initial discussions on the Governance page. Allowing Replete DAO members to discuss in a casual setting how a proposal would be shaped prior Forum discussion. This allows members to gauge whether there is enough interest to continue in a formal setting like the Forum.

  2. Forum: Forum serves as a platform to have in-depth discourse, on a high-level how the proposal would affect the protocol. Ideally, Forum proposals receive feedback that can be reviewed for the creator to adapt the proposal prior putting it for vote.

  3. Voting: When a proposal is ready to be put forth for voting, the Replete DAO can initiate and begin voting. Ideally, the proposals are not abstract in the requested outcome but has specific action points for contributors to execute on.

At a later stage this process will be more formalized and have a structures procedure to clarify for Replete DAO.

Note that the Governance will adapt prior TGE.
